At the beginning of 2024, NODEHAUS took on a transformation from a young upstart company to a serious, forward-thinking production company. Looking internally, we thought through what makes us unique and what ties us and our work together.
Our award-winning short documentary "A Clean Slate," our groundbreaking work with the Foundation for Individual Rights and Expression, our impactful work with the Cato Institute and our partnership with author and city planner M Nolan Gray pointed us to what we knew all along -- we are a team focused on "impact" above all.

Tran Hoang Calvin
Founder & Creative Director
Trần Hoàng Calvin is an award-winning independent director and producer from Grand Rapids, Michigan. He graduated from New York University's Tisch School of the Arts with a BFA in film and television production and has over a decade of experience in the film industry with credits from ABC News, VICE Media, and DECON-Mass Appeal. Trần is the founder of NODEHAUS media, an impact studio.
A bona fide filmmaker, Tran's directorial credits include CoinDesk's "Rizqi Presents: BLOCKCHAIN" on Amazon Prime, the Moving Picture Institute's "A Clean Slate" (Cleveland International, Best Documentary at Red Rock), LearnLiberty's "Refuge: The Story of Viet Tran" and "Dead Malls: Explained," and NODEHAUS's originals “Arbitrary Lines: The Free Spirit of Caroline” (Better Cities Film Festival), "Long Ride Home," and "An American Portrait."
His upcoming film credits include the Moving Picture Institute’s “Shoot, Shovel and Shut Up” (writer, director, editor), and NODEHAUS’s “Has Heart” (writer, director) and “Rainbow Rider” (producer)

Jacob McElroy has spent five years with NODEhaus, taking on diverse roles ranging from editor and producer to 1st AD on the upcoming short film Shoot, Shovel, Shut Up and the award-winning documentary A Clean Slate. Jacob has also helped various non-profits and individuals achieve millions of views on social media, significantly expanding their online presence.He takes pride in his creative approach to crafting engaging social media content that resonates with and connects to diverse audiences in uniquely tailored ways.
Outside of work, Jacob enjoys chasing after his energetic 2-year-old at the playground and experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen.
